The journey began in a simple home with a compelling vision. God’s servants, Carlos and Aracelis Ortiz , being stirred in their hearts to see people experience the love of God, began Faith Pleases God Church. With a simple message of hope and faith, the people of the Rio Grande Valley increased in the Word and knowledge of God. The mighty revival that took place paved the way for the move of the Holy Spirit in the Valley and is being built upon today by a second and third generation of believers.
Faith Pleases God grew as people came from all over the world. After meeting in three different locations, we settled into a simple warehouse in the heart of downtown Harlingen. Due to the preaching and demonstration of God’s power, the building could not contain the people. Their spiritual hunger and desire to see others experience the love of God created a need for a new home to facilitate this move of God.
After much prayer and guidance from the Holy Ghost, an abandoned lumber yard was converted into a house of worship. After being remodeled by church members and friends of the ministry, Faith Pleases God was ready to expand its ministry to the Valley and the nations of the world. This building has served God, the community of faith, and the entire region for the past 14 years and is ready to be re-equipped for the next great outreach: “The Journey Continues”.

We have embarked on a spiritual journey that will deepen our faith, align our priorities, release miracles in our families and finance the vision that God has divinely appointed for this House.
